Jess is the brilliant and creative woman behind Little Shop of Oils, a business that offers everything your inner goddess/witch needs--from gorgeous blends of natural and crystal-charged oils and sprays to ritual kits for moon phases. Her business stands out with its original looks: think shimmering, holographically rainbow-laced goldenness. Jess and her shop @littleshopofoils have come a long way, and aren't going anywhere but up.

What is your life’s goal?
Ahhhh there’s so many! But, if I'm being serious, being a mom. Ever since I can remember I wanted to be a mom. I started this business for many reasons, but one of the most important reasons to me was to have a schedule that allowed me to be home with my future children!

What makes you feel most empowered?
Actually ripping off the Band-Aid that was covering up my anxiety and fear so that I could start my business, Little Shop of Oils. I can’t believe how much it has grown in just 2 years. I figured I would make just enough money to keep myself busy and work from home, but it turned into something bigger than I could ever imagine. As of now I run the entire business by myself and I think that’s the most empowering thing I have ever done in my life! Being a creative mess and not wanting a real job, I didn't think I would ever amount to anything, yet now I’m a bad ass girl boss! Realizing all that I've done empowers me and encourages me to keep going.

What led you to become the woman you are today?
Oh gosh--my mom! I doubt I'd have the heart that I have without her. When I was a child she had told me to treat others the way you want to be treated. Anytime I have any sort of evil or bad though towards anything, I hear that in the back of my head. Not to mention she allowed me to have a room in the house where I could paint on the walls and do crafts; I miss that room!

What are your self-love and self-care rituals?
Before I start my routine I always light a candle. It helps to awaken my body and mind. Whenever I feel depleted I take ritual baths: I fill my bath with Epsom salts and yummy oils and surround myself with healing crystals. I sit in the water, close my eyes, and breathe. There's something about warm water; it completely washes away my pain and troubles.

What is your biggest piece of advice for other women?
Don’t let anyone tell you that you don’t have a passion, even if you think its small! Don't let anyone stop you from chasing your dreams!

What do you love about your body?
Oh gosh--this is always the hardest. I've always had a complicated relationship with my body. I'm learning to love each and every curve and “fluffy” spot on my body. It's been hard, but I think its really important to do so that I can be a positive example body-wise to younger girls.

What are you looking forward to?
I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with my little shop. I never expected to get this far and every day is exciting!
