Minerva Siegel, known as @SpookyFatBabe on Instagram, is an established writer, a crystal lover, and a self-love advocate. Her fierceness presents itself through her unapologetic speaking out about what matters. The confident, loving connection she has with her body continues to empower and celebrate women. Her confessions are heartfelt and passionate.

What is your life's goal at this moment?

My life’s goal is to cultivate and nurture myself in a way that lets me live life on a higher vibration. I’m really into body positivity, but the movement as a whole tends to just scratch the surface of self-love. My goal is to constantly be improving my mind through aggressive reading and learning, working on my mental health proactively, and making luxe self-care a priority while staying compassionate and grounded.

What makes you feel most empowered?
Shamelessly enjoying my life makes me feel empowered. As a plus size woman, so many people in our society want me to be demure, apologetic and frumpily ashamed of my size,. Refusing to hide and dilute myself for other people gives me a rush.

What led you to become the woman you are today?
Honestly, having a toxic, awful family made me become the confident, independent woman I am today. My biological family served as examples of everything I never want to be. My abusive mother ended up abandoning me, and my estranged father is awful, too (think: Trump supporter with a penchant for pious rage). I never had supportive, loving people in my life when I was growing up, so I quickly learned that if I was going to make it, I had to show up for myself and be unapologetically courageous. Life was really difficult for a long time, but my stomach ache has formed the prettiest pearl, and I treasure it.

How do you embrace your sexuality as a woman?
It took me years of being sexually active to get comfortable enough to allow myself to enjoy pleasure. I’ve always been plus size, and I used to be too self-conscious and insecure to really let my guard down and be in the moment during any kind of intimacy. Now, I embrace my sexuality by modeling in sensual, empowering boudoir shoots, by taking control of my pleasure and speaking out about what I want from my partners, and by realizing that I deserve fulfillment, no matter my size.

What are your self-love and self-care rituals?
Self-care, for me, often involves pampering myself with skincare products and indulging in long, hot baths while being surrounded by crystals. As a weekly self-care ritual, I spiritually charge my makeup and beauty products with good vibes by placing crystals around them and burning palo santo. I also burn sage bundles in my walk-in clothing closets to spiritually launder them (do washing machines clean off the day’s vibes, too?).  I’m a bit of a hedonist, so I’m pretty self-indulgent. Masturbating with spiritual intent has become an important part of my self-care. I think we all deserve the kind of earth-shattering orgasms that make us feel deep vibes and more connected to the universe.

What is your biggest piece of advice for other women?
To paraphrase the words of Alanis Morissette, remember your divinity. Remember that you deserve pleasure, happiness and self-confidence, and to Hell with anyone who disagrees. You’re stardust, you’re holy, and you’re in this form for the cosmic blink of an eye. Embrace it.

What do you love about your body?
I love how soft, round, and undulating my body is. It’s disabled, it’s flawed, it’s plush and it’s perfect.

What are you looking forward to?
I’m looking forward to all the fun creative collaborations I have coming up! Keep up with my latest articles and photoshoots by following me on Instagram @SpookyFatBabe
